For 2022, Chevrolet engineers tweaked the LT2, upgrading the V-8’s direct fuel-injection and recalibrating the engine. The driveline changes don’t affect output, still 450+ hp and 450+ lb-ft, but they do allow the engine to deactivate half its cylinders for fuel efficiency over a wider range of speed.
